The full cost is at least £3k and could be double that.
Thats for hardware, software, printers, updates, installation, N3 connection etc etc.

Depends on how many terminals you want as well.

As for who is "best" there are several threads on this in the IT section.

And don't forget ongoing support costs.

(Unless you pay up front but that would make 3k too low IHMO)

Thanks for the reply will contact the installers of Nexphase/pharmacy manager to see how much everything will cost.

The £3000 given does that include computer, printers, endorser, labellers etc?
I imagine the maintenance will be approx £100/month.

Does any one have the contact details for the installers of nexphase or other computer systems.

    Thanks
    Kind Regards

    Would advise against 'software only'.
This is OK for your home PC, where you can fix it 'tomorrow', but what happens if your system goes down and your mate or local schoolboy whizz kit who knows all about IT is on holiday?
Also its getting more complicated and the NHS side might not speak to someone without credentials of a recognised supplier.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.

Don't forget Proscript. You'll regret it.

Is that a recommendation for Proscript or a veiled threat?

saw proscript working with a separate thermal label printer and a cheapo laser printer for endorsing. About 10 million times faster than the usual star combo printer with no slippage, no big whirry noises and fantastic clear endorsing.

found out the refills for the laser cost £100 but the printer with a full drum costs £50. owner buys them, keeps a few as spares then sells the unused printers on ebay sans toners! Genius!
