    Cppe EHC assessment

I am stuck on a few questions on the assesment. Can anyone help, i failed it three times?

    they go something like this...

a 23 year old female is planning her travel around the world for a 6 month period. S She will be using s. She has asked whether she can buy EHC in advance, just in case of failure.

Which ONE of the following is the most appropriate

    a. You can use your professional discretion to sell Levonelle One Step to Mary, even though advance supply it isn't covered by your PGD

    b. can't legally make such a supply as EHC can only be provided once unprotected ual has taken place

    c. refer Mary to a prescriber as this supply would fall outside of the product license

    d. refer Mary to her GP or family planning, as advance supply is outside the pharmacy code of ethics

    e. You would only be able to make such a supply if it was stipulated by a local Patient Group Direction

    and...

a worker who is on the pill and using s. She had about 72 hours ago and the broke. This didn't worry her until a friend told her that the pill won't be working because she's on antibiotics for Chlamydia.

What is the most appropriate reason for referring Maddie to a family planning service in this situation?

    a. She has a ually transmitted infection

    b. She has several ual partners

    c. She is a worker

    d. She's on the time limit for EHC

    e. The antibiotics will reduce the efficacy of EHC

and also if someone is been abused but is illegillible for ehc what would u do...
    a. refuse supply and refer
    b. supple and tell dr
    c. tell the feds
    d. something else...
    e. scratch ur ass?

    cheers people

for the first one I would say A , if you find the guidance on levonelle one step it states that it can be supplied in advance, much to my horror and now there is talk of being able to supply it in advance via a phone call/ internet!!
For the second one I would say d, as unless the antibiotics she is taking are rifampicin or rifabutin which seems unlikely for chlamydia as its usually azithromycin, doxycyline or erythromycin.
for the last one my answer very much depends on the situation.
What have you said as the answers?

    First is A,

second is b, I think that a bit of contact tracing would be a good idea. I didn't get this right: in my haste I put d, completely forgetting that she is on the pill and using condoms for STI prevention.

Last is, I think, tell the feds, if its the 17 year old that I recall - or to put it in professional terms, make a report to the child protection officer verbally and back it up with something in writing within 72? hours. Here a child is until 18, and if you suspect abuse you have to report it. Could be uncomfortable when you tell the young lady, but hey.
    ....just my opinion

Why are you in horror of it being supplied in advance?
We don't insist that somebody cuts themselves before we sell a sticking plaster.

I don't agree with remote supply, but that is for any medicine, not just this one.
