I am in the process of applying for my hospital prereg. I have answered most of the questions but I struggling to think for this last one and would be happy to get a helping hand. Thank you

Well this is perhaps the most important question on the application. Why do you want to work in hospital ? Have you had any previous experience ?

I'm a pre-reg tutor in a hospital. In the applications that stand out to me, the prospective pre-reg can pinpoint something that made them interested in hospital pharmacy. Sometimes it comes from a university placement or summer job, or from wanting to see the other side to community pharmacy. If you have any hospital experience, make sure you talk about it and how it has made you want to do a hospital pre-reg.

Find out about the hospitals you are interested in - you can tailor your statement to fit each individual hospital application. Ideally you should visit the department before you apply, but if you can't then phone or email the tutors to find out what their pre-reg year is like.
