Yes it is and it's one I would recommend having a copy of because it's an extremely good reference source. At least 4 years out of date though.

I have that book its quite good if your up for further reading.
However its huge and boring so I tend not to use it, I have bought the 'oxford handbook of clinical pharmacy' and 'oxford handbook of clinical medicine', the latter which I keep in by pocket/handbag at all times! It contains very summarised information but in most cases its just what you need to know, would highly recommend!

What do you mean by four years out of date? Its fourth edition so i tought its the last edition. Is there big diference between older and newer editions?
It seems to me that this one is better than oxfords books

    thx

It's at least four years out of date because it was published in 2007, and so a lot of guidelines and new/old drugs haven't been updated. Still a good book for understanding the background to disease mechanisms etc.

I don't think that Clinical Pharmacy and therapeutics is a comprehensive text.there are other books may be more comprehensive such as Applied therapeutics the Clinical Use of drugs (koda-kimble ), Pharmacotherapy (Joseph DiPiro ) .But these two are american-based textbooks ( for instance , JNC7 guideline for hypertension instead of British hypertension society guideline )

    Re: clinical pharmacy book

i think people can only recommend text books, but its up to the individual to decide if the book is going to be useful. Different people will get different things out of text book, and what may work for one person may not necessairily work for the next person. The clinical pharmacy book is certainly detailed and it describes well the common diseases, pathophysiology and the treatments and pharmacology of drugs. But it may not be to everyones taste! I got through without using it and it did me no harm!

Is there big difference between american and british guidelines? Beacuse I am thinking between buying older (2007) clinical pharmacy and therapeutics- R. Walker or something newer from DiPiro and Koda-Kimble...
