    non-compliance to antispychotic meds

    What is the next step after trying a depot such as risperdal consta on a patient with psychotic symps who refuses to take the supplementary oral dose for 3 weeks when treatment begins? Any one have any ideas? especially if theyv tried other typical antipsychotics and suffered very bad EPSEs. where do you go from here????

    Unless he has been sectioned, he has every right to refuse medication if he chooses to.
