Question What is the role of Clinical Pharmacist in your country?

Right now. My impression about Clinical Pharmacy is all from books. I want to understand what the role of the job and what the purpose of this job. Not ony in my country but also in your country.

I look forward what the pharmacists in the hospital (to be more accurately, Clinical Pharmacist) mainly doing and what role they play. What kind of jobs do they do? Distributing drugs and so on?Whether they serve patients directly or behind the doctor?

Thank you.
PS: Sorry for the bad English writing.

Default Re: What is the role of Clinical Pharmacist in your country?

In my country, there is no real existance of clinical pharmacy.

Doctors mainly do not believe in the pharmacists' knowledge. They do not want anyone to discuss with them the treatment regimen. They always believe that they are the only ones who know the best about the treatment. Of course not all of them but the majority.

In addition, Pharmacist are weak and do not prefer to argue with the doctors.

I guess the clinical pharmacy will not be practiced here soon.
