pay for each sector of pharamcy,

i know there's job satisfaction involved in every sector and it's more important than the income, but as one of the factors considered, can anyone give a run down of the sort of salaries in each of industry, hospital and community?

    Thank you

In industry, pay starts of low but then rises steadily. When I came out of industry into retail I took a salary drop of nearly 30%.

Also there are some very highly paid hospital positions if individuals manage departments. Obviously progress is slower now with the economic situation but I personally know some hospital pharmacists on well over £50k, one on over £80k.

Some primary care pharmacists have been on big salaries also as PCT management has paid well so employed pharmacists have done well out of agenda for change.

I know hospital and PCT pharmacists on much less than these figures. I mention them to say that there has been significant opportunity that those wishing to locum or work in community may not be aware of
