So its a desire of mine to go work abroad..broaden experience and explore the world, but looking at registration in other countries seems such a hastle....re-doing pre reg and more exams and the like..and i know our society no longer do the reciprocation with australia etc...
i'm looking at countries outside the EU and ones who's first language is english...so likes of america, canada, singapore, australia....you get the jist
but my question is for those pharmacists working here in UK but didn't qualify here, ie so have come in from abroad to work here..what hoops did you have to jump through, and how long on average was the process...did you do it all from living in UK or from your home countries and then came to UK ready to work? (if that all makes sense?)
Hi CC
I shouldn't really be replying to your posting as i'm not a pharmacist and i'm from the UK but I did go work in NZ for a while and it was a hassle and very expensive but it was hugely worth every minute and penny spent. I've travelled extensively and lived abroad previously but never worked overseas. This has always been a thing I wanted to experience. If you ever get the chance to go abroad, even just for a few months, have a go. You never know where it will take ya!!!!
However, getting a job as a pharmacist will be difficult in countries where Graeme would be happy, ie no multiples.
Unless, you meet a girl/boy whose father owns a pharmacy.

In places like america, australia, there isn't a significant difference in pharmacist roles; but in places where doctors do the dispensing in their clinics, people don't have much faith in pharmacist..or perhaps pharmacist should see patients and write Rx
