Rennies become pointless after a while - all they do is neutralise stomach acid, while ranitidine reduces stomach acid production.
Also, if all a person needs is a few Rennies then they are wasting their GP's time as they should go and just buy some! Bloody hell they only cost a few quid - hardly a bank breaker is it.
