Default Labelling question

Is the expiry date label a legal requirement when packing down?

Depends.

If you are selling it, then it's necessary to have batch no. and expiry date. If it's on prescription, no. I think the rationale is that if its dispensed its for immediate use, and not for storage.

Packing down itself may alter the expiry date, of course. ethics and practice wants all stock in dispensary to have batch no and expiry dates on, whether legally required or not.

Thats my understanding, anyhow.
