In a few years (or less) you will probably be doing this for the UK as well.

Of course... well mostly the English speaking world.... the grass is always greener and you can almost support a family back home on what a UK pharmacist spends on lunch money. On top of that free medical care....

Although I did hear of one economic migrant who came here was diagnosed with pancreatic enzyme deficiency took creon for some years and got tired of it so went home and as far as I know is still living happily without creon and a deep mistrust of Western medicine and lifestyles...

I just came for the electricity.

Well just as Sth Africa already run out of power, so we are forecast to be energy deficient in a few years as old stations have to close. Better get used to seeing a windmill in your back yard.

If remote supervision comes then will be from India, China and Philipines.

In meantime I will go visit the web site.

Looks impressive. When in Miami a few years back had to visit a Dr to get script for amoxycillin (no ES over there). Waited best part of two hours and was struck by the amount of 'phone calls to insurance companies re every pt.

Can quite understand why a surgery would want to offload this hassle.

In Florida one of the children got an ear infection.
Went to a walk-in surgery.
First question asked "How will you be paying?".
It was 60USD at exchange rate of 1.38 at the time.

Erythromycin + generic version of otosporin came to USD 25.
Pharmacy told us to come back in 1 hour.

Now I wonder if a visitor to the UK is charged when they use the NHS?

Next time we went what do you think we took with us?

Best thing to do is get some type of traveler's insurance if coming to the U.S., as the system here as the potential to bankrupt anyone. Of course the most important question they ask or care about is how the payment will be made and what insurance you have. There have been case reports here of people showing up to the Emergency room with critical injury and dying at the doorway because they had no insurance. It is an unethical concept, but happens. The system here is certainly flawed and everyone knows it, but mention socialized medicine, and everyone cringes....
