If no one backs you up but the law is on your side, you're still fine.
Eg, evil manager wants you to do illegal stuff like dispense methadone from a faxed script in otherwise the stuck up doctors will take all their patients to a rival chemist. But you refuse because dispensing a CD sch 2 or 3 from a faxed script is illegal. The manager is angry, the dr moves the patient to another chemist, the store loses the bonus, the staff despise you, but the law is on your side. You're fired. It it it's ok because it's only wrong to be fired if it was caused by doing something illegal.
This was a true a scenario for someone else. It took 3 months of telephone conversations for this person to heal. The pharmacy was not reported because they always received the actual script within 72 hours later and there was no proof the dispensing was done from the faxed script. No staff would make a report in case of losing their jobs.
In real ife its like if you got alot of backing from the right people then even if youre in the wrong and the other person is in the wrong it seems like it does not matter. For example a guy comes to mug you. He has ten of his big mates behind him. You only have two mates with you and they push you forward and cower behind you, and then egg you on saying take him on etc... now you know its wrong, but cos he has ten big mates behind him backing him up it becomes right (in the sense he mugs you).
Pharmacy scenario.
You and the female counter assistant have an argument. NOw you are right in what you say, but the counter assistant wins and your made to look a fool because the female pharmacist is very pally pally with the assitant and doesnt like you much. The argument was that as a pre-reg if you notice the assistant giving wrong advice or OTC medicine then you should intervene if appropriate because that would be your job as a pharmacist and its in the patients's best interest and the patients health takes priority over how the sensitive assistant's made to feel or how she is made to look bad (in her view anyway)
