    Primark

So i was shopping in town this afternoon spending my hard earned cash...although not doing a good job of it as i was in Primark (don't judge me!)...Now is it just me or has anyone else noticed that not only are the racks rammed with clothes, but every sized shirt, t-shirt, shorts, jeans was labelled up as SMALL or EXTRA SMALL!!

Are primark really that incompetent in tailoring to the general population....and to add to my fury there were girls in there buying mens clothes for themselves...buying jogging bottoms and loungewear! they have their own floor which is twice the size of the menswear section and yet still insist clogging up an already crowded mens section

is primark really aimed at the dwarves of society, and the cross dressing females?!?!?

Maybe i should send a letter to the factory in india asking them to add a bit of width to some of their clothes

well i'd class myself as slim build anyway (32" waist)..i'm definately not round, but am not that small that an extra small would fit me!!!!

i suppose it did come across that i was obese or something...any average grown up guy who comfortably fit into an XS shirt, i would be worried about....

well, i am obese, and i still reckon primark t-shirts are made by pixies! Every other store's XL fits me fine. Not so with primark! And most of their t-shirts are really short ones too - i'm not exactly fond of showing off my midriff to all and sundry. I'm afraid i head to peacocks or matalan for my basic clothes these days...

Ralph Lauren all the way for me lads, now I'm getting on a bit. By Americans for Americans, and guys like me who can be a bit big without worrying about it. Well-made, comfortable clothes that fit me..usually bought by my wife of course..

Never shopped in Primark...and never will. The fad for cheaply made/sold/looking clothes doesn't appeal to me.

it was more the fact i'm off on holiday and wanted some cheap clothes i could bum around in and nto worry if they got dirty, ripped and the like...had i taken a wardrobe of ralph lauren with me and i managed to rip them or spill food and the liek down them or general wear and tear, i wouldn't ahve been too impressed but a £5 t shirt means i could bin in there and not worry about it!!!

but i figure i need to shrink down about 2 feet and i'll be sorted!

exactly what I did when I went on holiday. Prices are so cheap I can treat their socks and underwear as disposable, don't want to carry dirty underwear back from holiday just for washing do I. Saved space can used for souvenirs etc... According to my experience they carry all sizes infact their S sizes are a bit larger than other retailers e.g. S size chest size is 38 inches. I do have to say their tailoring is somewhat diff. to clothes stocked by other retailers, in terms of dimensions.

Primarks pricing also points to how much money organisations such as clothes brands are making, they get their clothes made in similar way to primark with maybe considerably less tailoring. a normal nice shirt nowdays cost £30, I bet it only costs them tops £5 with everything taken into account to make. Proves the prices for branded clothing are a fad e.g. decent Levi jeans cost £25 after conversion in America wheras here I think they'rer over £40
