    Re: Christmas Presents

My wife bought me a Le Creuset Tarte Tatin pan and I used it on Boxing Day (Sat). Had not appreciated quite how heavy it was, and what with my Carpal Tunnel syndrome and that the pan was still hot, fumbled the inversion and broke the plate. Managed to rescue the Tarte Tatin and have purchased a couple of light weight plastic clamps from Screwfix to secure the plate while inverting. Will be trying out in about 15 mins.

Bought myself a present of an aviation joystick for my new career as a virtual pilot.

Nice one - Le Creuset stuff is what we generally use - wedding present from 20 odd years ago.

    Re: Christmas Presents

    Afternoon everyone

Well I've just crawled out of my bed with a bit of a headache etc etc. In fact I feel like an amateur drinker as I don't really remember having that much.

Anyway, after that buttie and coffee I just rammed down my neck I'm feeling a bit more like me old self now.

For Christmas I got some great gifts, mainly DVD's and CD's. I got Transformers, Terminator, Bronson, Star Trek. I also got perfume, a new PC gamers mouse, lots of stuff. Music wise Queen's greatest hits, best of the 90's, Black Eyed Peas and Susan Boyle - work that lot out!

Hope you all have a happy 2010!!!

    Johnep,
as of this morning, jan. 1st 2010, you are no longer allowed to respond as you do not qualify as a "Fellow Registrant" and are no longer to pass yourself off as a Pharmacist...

Actually, I'm one of those who strongly believes that we abandon our experienced members at our own cost - perhaps admin could change the "pharmacist" designation to "pharmacist, or Honoured Member"?

I can change it if John wants me to but I think it's wrong - this man will always be a pharmacist in my opinion. This rule of not being allowed to call yourself a pharmacist after retirement is wrong, just wrong.
