I'm actually writing this at work - yep at 4am! And, I have been on duty for 20 mins already!

I just had to made a record of this otherwise nobody will ever believe me!

Goodness, is it a 24 hour pharmacy?. I have not worked at 4am since 1958 when I did a three week stint at Boots in Aldgate East, London.
Saw a side of life that I hardly knew existed.

Well, have a pharmaceutical one and drink campari (contains gentian) and mulled wine.
Cloves and cinnamon have been used medicinally (oil of cloves for toothache and there was Langdales Essence of Cinnamon for colds.)
Parsley has been used as an abortificient and peppermint from a variety of mint is still used today as Colpermin. Have an after dinner drop of creme de menthe.

What about Advocaat? I'm sure that has a pharmaceutical pedigree, but Wikipedia doesn't seem to know it. Mist. Spiritus Vini Gallici looks likely Spiritus Frumenti, Whisky. Spiritus Vini Gallici, B.P., Brandy. | Henriette's Herbal Homepage has a formula under "preparations" at the bottom of the page.

I thought Campari was Tincture of Nux Vomica? - Wiki unhelpfully says that the manufacturers keep the recipe secret, so perhaps we are both right!

Tinture of Nux Vomica contains strychnine. Nux vomica seeds used as a trial of truth or lie in West Africa. Those in the know took Calabar beans just before the trial. Calabar beans contain physostigmine which blocks the action of acetyl choline.
