My old scooby WRX (well, the same model & mods anyway).

As i said on the other car thread i miss it a hell of a lot and would happily get another if my circumstances allowed

The roads where I live are in a crap state so functional over "low-slung and sporty" for me

Currently a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDi ...functional, reliable, cheap to run, speedy and easy to repair.

    Car history
    Mini
    Astra 1.4
    Yamaha 125
Kawasaki Z440 (I loved that bike *sigh*)
Land Rover Defender 110 (when I worked up the Pennines)
    Peugeot 306 TDi
    Another 306
    Skoda Fabia TDi

I've always wanted a trabant -- total retro-chic. I'd love one for sunday driving--can just imagine tootling down the motorway at 30mph in one, with all the other traffic stuck behind me

Maybe someday, but at the minute I'm not allowed one "in case anyone sees it or the council tows it away"----sigh !

Trabants were famous for pollution and smoke. I once had a heinkel bubble car which had a hole in the piston. Carried a can of oil. caused quite a stir when I drew up outside Harrods to deliver my mother-in-law to do some shopping. Used to rep in it when my car was in for service.

    Tell me about it.
Once hit a pot-hole in the dark and ended up with a heart-shaped wheel rim.

If they are more than a certain depth then I believe you can claim off the council.

Important to take witnessed photos before you claim, though, as the councils have been known to fill hole rapidly and then deny all knowledge and existence.
    ....just my opinion

Here's one in Ireland..Doubt the council here would fill this with any great haste, especially on a Monday!
    Hence my jeep.
