    Understanding Films

Last night my wife and I watched 'No country for old men', thinking would be some kind of western.
    1) Could hardly understand what they were saying.
    2) No explanation of what was going on.
    3) Mostly gratuitous killing for little reason.
    4) Horrendous wounds seemed to heal virtually overnight.
    5) No explanation at end of what happened.
    6) Inconsistencies in plot.
Can anyone give me a reasonable explanation of the story?

I have problem (1) as well.
Not sure if it is the background music or bad microphones or just actors who can't.
Could I add (7) indequate lighting.
Have to switch off the lights and turn up the brightness to see the picture.

Many thanks for the link, now have six pages of close typed A4 to wade through. Will be suggesting this site to Lovefilm.

If you're after some kind of Western, I'd recommend you don't watch Brokeback Mountain.

My in-laws did and weren't impressed.

I did see BrokeBack mountain and after the sex scene in the tent felt that cowboys were not the romantic heroes I had thought they were.
