Well, A few weeks ago I'm working, checking scripts, and the radio is playing a very happy little number in the background.... then I hear some of the words... did she really say that?!

Yes, she did. Anyway, I printed the lyrics off and sang them to my wife who was highly amused, and since then, to general hilarity, I find myself humming the tune at odd times during the day

Years ago when Ken Dodd sang about his willy he decided that he couldn't slip another song past the BBC.

A song with the same title that he felt he couldn't get away with has now been recorded by Script.

(though April Vines 1982 song with the same title is better)

well, Jeff, I got the "If You See Kay" by about the third chorus , but cannot hear in Ken Dodd's offering anything naughty.....

As the bride said 'Oh what happiness' These jokes go back to the music hall days. Others concerned a well known (in1890) piano company, a famous pharmaceutical co, and a man delivering lino.

Max Miller still on stage in my youth. He told jokes about milkmaids and being on mountain paths.

Marie Lloyd was another who sang quite innocent songs in a lewd way, such as "come into the Garden Maud"

Mae West was another who could deliver a double entendre with devastating effect. Most famous concerned a man who was pleased to see her.

George Robey died in my teens, he was keen on observing young ladies in their bath----chairs.

George Formby probably most famous of these singers of comic songs. He was fond of Blackpool Rock.

In more prudish times these jokes brought the house down, now would fall flat.
Crudity now the order of the day.
