Keep it surreal
A man dressed entirely in black and wearing a black mask, is standing in the middle of a crossroad. All of the streetlights at the intersection are broken. A car speeds down the road, heading straight for the man, yet it turns in time and doesn't hit him. How does it manage to miss him?
Can anyone give an answer (without resorting to Google or any search engine ?)

Jason (aged 7) and Jeremy (aged 8) are seated on the living room couch, watching a very explicit, XXX rated movie. Their father, Kevin, enters the room and sits down on the couch next to them. Kevin is a good father and not at all immoral. Kevin speaks to them for a while, but says nothing about the movie that all three are now watching. How come?

Have seen this one before. It depends on how you read the statement, i.e "woman, without her, man is nothing" or woman without her man, is nothing. Something like that.

My first instinct was, night or day, the car simply turned left, leaving our strangely-clad man standing in the middle of the crossroads unscathed...He should try lying on a black stripe of a zebra-crossing in broad daylight for his next trick!

The great thing with that one was that almost everyone (except Shan) i've asked presumes the situation takes place at night.

You're driving a train from Newcastle upon Tyne to Portsmouth. At Newcastle there are 31 people boarding the train. The train stops at Durham where 19 people get off and 24 board the train. The next stop is at Middlesborough, where 11 people get off (Middlesborough is such a boring place) and 43 get on. From Boro the train goes to York where 16 people get on 22 get off. After York the train stops at Leeds and then Sheffield where 26 and 30 people get on respectively and 13 and 22 people get off respecively. After leaving Sheffield the train chuggs along to Nottingham, where 57 people leave and only 24 get on. Next stop is the heart of England, Birmingham, where 17 people board and 30 leave. At the capital, London, 49 people board and 33 leave, before the train finally reaches its destination at Portsmouth....
The question is... who is driving the train ?
