Re: I'm in love with my car

    Thanks Fleeg

I’m so excited, can’t wait!! I’ve learnt so much about cars and motoring gadgets over the last few days….would love to spice up the car with some motoring gadgets and maybe some KA-ligraphy……What makes you think it will suit me? Most ppl say it's a ladies car....

I was just reading a review about the Garmin Nuvi 205:

Just checked the box...mine's a Garmin Nuvi 310 deluxe (if you don't mind)..Also it ain't a sat-nav..it's a "personal travel assistant"! Never heard so much gobshite in me life.

Garmin does seem to be the most popular system though..very easy to get online updates, and they supply all the cables, SD card, etc..standard kit covers most of Europe too.

Question Re: I'm in love with my car

Garmin Nuvi 310 Deluxe sounds posh and expensive!

MR2's are for girls, you want a Porsche 911. That's a proper sports car.

in my area porsches are the exclusive property of criminals and estate agents (same thing? who knows! ). With that stupid engine layout way at the back they are brutal to the averagely inexperenced tossers who buy them these days - one set of bends near me has had several go off and break up into lots of little pieces.
If i have a death wish, i'll buy a 911. If i was going to lay out the sort of silly money a porsche costs I'd rather have a better balanced car like the new nissan GT-R.

    Thanks Fleegle…

    Monkey Magic? …

I like the monkey Olympics song itself….I don’t know much about the culture. Did the monkey really come from that egg?

    Anyways, this is what I’m really interested in. They say the new Ford Ka 2009 will be featured in the new bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’. Have a look below;

that's a damn fine looking new model! It looks like the lovechild of a punto and a mondeo... I wonder what the SportKa would look like...hope they do a bodykit type thing similar to the seat cupra kits or the vxr job vauxhall did to the corsa...

mind you that new vectra replacement is pretty fine-looking too...

Nothing wrong with the engine layout when you acquire the skill to drive the car properly. My Porsche is a classic RS model and has appreciated since I bought it, I wouldn't want the depreciation on a new one.
Agree about the new Nissan though, Autocar rated it better than the R8 and the new 997

Re: I'm in love with my car

my only worry about the nissan is the cost / inconvenience if it breaks - each engine is unique, as is the gearbox and drivetrain mated to it. Could be a very long wait if you accidentally blow up your gearbox on a trackday...
But, it's a nissan, so in theory it should still be running after a global thermonuclear war....
