It is worth a reminder to all - never leave the UK without travel insurance.

We have always taken it out - and we were able to claim part of the expense back after that trip.
I guess what really got to us is that although Mrs Pharmanaut is also a pharmacist we didn't take the 'extended first aid kit' with us. However, on all subsequent trips it is the first thing that gets sorted out.
