I totally agree with all of your moans and groans and when i leave at the end of the year i will certainly not miss it!!
No more rude patients or dealing with addicts or saturday morning emergency supplies!
I have just started courses in both plumbing and electrical installation and hope to obtain my City and Guilds in both by the end of the year with a view to obtaining work in both trades in the new year.
Is this just me feeling fed up like this or are a lot of people thinking about new careers!! (600 left the register this year!!).
I welcome your thoughts and comments!! |
Well I say good luck to you. I personally would like to change my job, but feel too old to re-train for anything else. All I can add is that my husband is a builder, and his skills seem to be much more useful then mine! He also seems a lot happier in his choice of work then I am.
There are always letters in the PJ comparing pharmacists rates of pay to that of plummers etc, as if skilled trades people are somehow lesser then us. I have never believed this myself, and feel that most people value a plummers work a lot more then ours.
Let us know how you get on and good luck.
I just have to add one thing, as I have been reading Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" all weekend, and my mind is full of conspiracy theories, hidden codes etc - is this a joke?
