Re: Introduce Yourself !!! No, I am ashamed, but it was just that impossible for me as youngster to get to 'lowry country' as a bit far on my bike and as I had been told was always raining, the West Country and IOW were much more attractive.
Have managed to visit Scotland twice since I first ventured upto Edinburgh to take Ph.C practicals at Moat Place.
As for Wales, used to do a regular run to Swansea to catch night ferry to Cork but have never had a proper holiday there. Went once in 1960 with my wife on a Lambretta to Chepstow but only stayed one night, then scurried back to England to visit Symonds Yat. We just managed to keep ahead of the rain that owen glendower had sent after us as revenge.
What I would like to do is go up Snowdon on the train, suddenly it would appear so many things not done and so little time in which to do them.
One of my old student friends, ex production director for BTC and now living in Stirling told me he spent three months after uni, motor biking from lands End to John O Groats.
