This is appalling. Students need constructive, not pointless, criticism. Students are not expected to be perfect, they are there to learn. None of us left college perfect. We needed to learn how to apply our knowledge.

No, AFAIK tutors cannot stop students going for the exam. Maybe advise against it, but that's all
