Hi. Im a third year MPharm from Brighton, and I love it you've made the right decision in coming here to study. Regarding part time work there is lots to be had, however as there is an abudance of pharmacy students pharmacy part time work is quite hard to come across, however I know several students, including myself who have worked in pharmacies part time. As for jobs in hospital I know someone working part time in the pharmacy so it is possible, they often advertise on
www.nhscareers.com i think.
Most students, however, tend to work in bars, shops and in and about the university. There are plenty of opportunities out there. One thing I would say is everyone goes mad the beginning of the year trying to get part-time work, so you might find it a struggle at first.
In your first year of pharmacy you will get a placement in a community pharmacy, if you get on well with the boss its possible that (if they have a vancancy) they will consider you.
