[Band6]

Band 6 = basic grade. I think that I'm the equivalent of the old B/C grades. Basically, dogsbody. Mixture of ward work and dispensary. A bit odd where I am at the momement - I'm the only pharmacist in the hospital! A district hospital with two care of the elderly wards, one rehab unit, one acute psychiatric unit, two psychogeriatric wards, outpatients, minor injuries department... and then there's the outside units. Good for experience, I must say!!! It only works because I have such a good team working with me - One ward based clinical pharmacy tech, two pharmacy tech's in the dispensary plus two or three assistants.
The weirdest thing is having a band 7 pharmacy tech visit every so often. It would be fair to say that we clash...
